There are many diseases that can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Genital Herpes is also a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by a virus called herpes simplex virus. It can spread during vaginal, anal and oral sexual contact. Although people don’t have much awareness it is a common disease in many countries. There are two main kinds of herpes virus, herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) and herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2). Once the disease gets inside a body either it stays life long or else the symptom occurs once in few months. HSV_1 causes sores in the skin such as genital parts, mouth, face etc. HSV-2 more or less has the same symptoms but spreads rapidly while practicing oral sex.Genital herpes is a very contagious disease; it can spread by skin-to-skin contact. If you get the disease, doesn’t mean you will have the symptoms of genital herpes immediately. Few people do not realize they are infected, and then one fine day they find some sores in their skin. It is roughly said that virus takes around 15-20 days to create the blisters. Women’s may feel vaginal discharge, pain while urinating and a fever. The shocking news is that there is no cure for this disease. The only option is to wait till the body can create some immune to fight against the disease by prolonging the sores.
