Ulcer is a problem suffered by considerable number of people all over the world. There is a general saying that people living in south India face ulcer problem more when compared to people of other parts of the world. There is a saying that south Indian foods are more spicy and salty. If a person takes spicy foods frequently then he is prone to get ulcer at any time. Apart from this there are many other reasons for getting ulcer. It includes consuming alcohol in excessive amount regularly, using drugs which are not good for health, taking food items that has high amount of pesticides and insecticides. Usually the symptoms for ulcer will not be very clear. The concern person may get continous stomach pain, experiencing indigestion problems, pain in the stomach after having food and fullness sensation and so on. In the case of children they may experience vomiting and headache. The pain of a duodenal ulcer gets worse at night and between meals, starting about 30 minutes to two hours after eating. Ulcer patients should avoid tea, coffee, chilies, species and all other food items which is strong in gastric acid and cause severe pain. So rather than getting depressed it is wise to follow precaution measures to escape ourselves from the problems.
