Chocolate an aphrodisiac food

Many of them would have come across the word called aphrodisiac, but they forget to know the meaning since it is not often used word. An aphrodisiac is a Greek word derived from Aphrodite known as Greek goddess of love and beauty. In English, it is defined as anything that provokes sexual interest or desire. There are many aphrodisiac foods available, but we are unaware of the fact that the chocolate which people eat as junk food or when they are happy is also an aphrodisiac food. Chocolate contains a stimulant called phenyl ethylamine, which is capable of giving a sense of happiness, well being and excitement similar to that of the hormone endorphins which gives to our body. Doctors believe that chocolate contains chemicals that can influence neurotransmitters in the brain a substance related to caffeine called Theo bromine. Blue-ray Disk

What do you know about blue ray technology? Blu-ray Technology belongs to a new generation of optical discs capable of staging high density data. This technology is purely based on a blue-violet colored laser. The blue laser operates at a wave length of 405 nm, while older technology such as DVDs and CDs are based on red and infrared lasers that work at 650 and 780 nm. Since the wave length is shorter with a blue laser, the new Blu-ray technology makes is possible to store much more information. This is the major advantage in blu-ray disc. Apart from that Blu-ray technology the laser beam can be focused much more tightly at the surface of the disc. Tight focus means that a smaller spot will be produced on the surface on the disc, and when the spots become smaller there will naturally be room for more information on each disc. The minimum spot size of any laser depends on a naturally accruing phenomenon called diffraction. The narrow beam of light sent out from a laser will always diverge into a wider beam eventually, due to the natural diffraction of waves. Diffraction will also occur the waves meet an obstruction. By reducing the wavelength of a laser, we can affect the diffraction. This diffraction is getting affected when the lens used to get focused on the light which is the higher numerical aperture than the lenses found in ordinary DVDs – 0.85 instead of 0.6. Blue-ray technology based appliances are also equipped with a dual-lens system of supreme quality, and the cover layer has been made thinner in order to prevent unwanted optical effects. All this makes it possible for a Blu-ray laser to focus on much smaller spots. The optical improvements are accompanied with a new method for encoding data, which makes it possible to store even more data on the Blu-ray disc.

Are fats are enemies or heroes?

Generally, people have a thought that the fat is not good for health but that is not true. Not all fats are bad. The enemies are the saturated fats found in red meat and whole milk dairy products like ghee, butter, cream, cheese, oils, like coconut and palm oil etc. saturated fats increase the levels of harmful low density lipoprotein cholesterol known as LDL in the blood, even more than what the cholesterol rich foods do. It’s the LDL cholesterol in the blood, even more than what the cholesterol rich foods do. It’s the LDL cholesterol that is linked to increased risk of developing problems in the arteries that nourish the heart. To put it succinctly, cholesterol circulation through the blood stream is possible due to a combination of cholesterol and protein called lipoproteins that comes in two types that are high density and low density. The high density lipoprotein HDL dislodges excess cholesterol out of the cells and the lining of the arteries and delivers it on the liver for removal. The low density lipoproteins LDL, however, deposit cholesterol on the walls of the arteries’ undoing what HDL’s do.People should not register in their mind that fats are the enemies. There are also heroes in fats, which are very essential. Polyunsaturated fats are the real saviors. Unlike saturated fats, which almost always come from land animals, unsaturated fats come from plants and fish. Corn oil, cottonseed, safflower, soybeans, sunflower oil fetched is examples. The polyunsaturated fats help lower the levels of LDL cholesterol while maintaining high levels of beneficial high density lipoprotein HDL cholesterol. However, it happens only if the amount of polyunsaturated fat is equal to the amount of polyunsaturated fat is equal to the amount of saturated fats. For a generation thriving on French fries, burgers, pizzas, pastas, and the aerated drinks, this is just a pipe dream! So what’s the trick? Keep the intake of both kinds of fats roughly equal. However, that doesn’t men you gorge on burgers and make up for it by downing a bottle of sunflower oil! Consumption of both kinds of fat should be less than 30% of the total calorie.
